Tourist VISA

A Visitor’s Visa is issued to persons travelling to Guyana for Vacation, Tourism, Meetings, Workshops, Seminars, Events, Religious Functions, Site Visits to Companies, Conducting Training, spearheading maintenance of machineries purchased from Foreign Countries, for short periods of time, i.e. three (3) months or less.

If there is no Embassy of Guyana in your country, to apply for a visa you should send your passports and supporting documents by mail or courier.

If you require OK TO BOARD, that is not issued by the Embassy but instead the AIRLINE at least 48 hours before travelling. 

Only persons physically in Europe should apply to this Embassy.

The Embassy of Guyana in Belgium will not process applications received from persons in the Middle East, Asia and South African regions.

Guyana does not provide electronic visa. 

There is no online application process, all documents must be submitted by physical copy. 

DOCUMENTATION:

The applicant is required to send by mail or deliver in person the following documents:

  • Two (2) Completed Application Forms
  • Two (2) Passport-sized Photos
  • Passport (at least 6 months of remaining validity)
  • Proposed Travel Itinerary
  • A letter addressed to the Consular Officer explaining the purpose of your visit and your intended activities. 
  • Proof of Accommodation in Guyana (e.g. confirmation of reservation from a Hotel)
  • Proof of Financial means of support during your stay in Guyana (e.g. Bank Statement)
  • Invitation letter from host person/company (if you are being invitied by a person or company)
  • Residence Card (if you are not a citizen of a European and or African country covered by this Embassy)  

 

FEES:

 

The Embassy does not access cash payment. Please pay by bank transfer.

  • Single Entry – valid for three (3) months: €35
  • Return Postage of Documents via Registered Mail: €15

Visa fees are non-refundable. The fees can either be enclosed in the envelope with the documents to be posted to the Embassy or transferred into the Embassy’s Bank Account.

PLEASE TRANSFER THE EXACT FEE INTO THE ACCOUNTS. THE EMBASSY WOULD NOT BE IN A POSITION TO REFUND ANY EXCESS PAYMENT.

PROCESS:

 

The Embassy would not be in a position to process a Visa Application if the respective fees are not received. The Visa Application process can take approximately five (5) working days, but can vary on a case by case basis.

Payment of fees does not automatically guarantee that the Visa will be granted. A Visa is granted once the Embassy verifies that the information provided on the Application Form and supporting documents is true and correct.

The Passport with the appropriately issued Visa will be returned to the Applicant via Registered Mail to the return address stated on the Application Form. The Applicant is required to confirm receipt of the Passport and other documents by signing and returning to the Embassy the “Receipt of Documents Slip” via email address (consular@embassyofguyana.be).
