A Student Visa is issued to persons desirous of studying at any of the Universities in Guyana. If a Foreign National is residing, working or owns a business in Guyana and is accompanied by his/her child/children for the duration of stay in Guyana, then the child/children would be issued with a Student Visa, providing that he/she is of age to attend school.

Two (2) Passport Sized Photos
Passport (at least 6 months of remaining validity)
Proposed Travel Itinerary
Proof of Accommodation in Guyana
Proof of Financial means of support during your stay in Guyana
Student Acceptance Letter from the competent Authority at the registered/accredited School
Visa fees are non-refundable. The fees can either be enclosed in the envelope with the documents to be posted to the Embassy or transferred into the Embassy’s Bank Account.
IN THE CASE OF A BANK TRANSFER, KINDLY CONTACT THE EMBASSY FOR THE BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS.
PLEASE TRANSFER THE EXACT FEE INTO THE ACCOUNTS. THE EMBASSY WOULD NOT BE IN A POSITION TO REFUND ANY EXCESS PAYMENT.
The Embassy would not be in a position to process a Visa Application if the respective fees are not received. The Visa Application process can take approximately five (5) working days, but can vary on a case by case basis.
Payment of fees does not automatically guarantee that the Visa will be granted. A Visa is granted once the Embassy verifies that the information provided on the Application Form and supporting documents is true and correct.
The Passport with the appropriately issued Visa will be returned to the Applicant via Registered Mail to the return address stated on the Application Form. The Applicant is required to confirm receipt of the Passport and other documents by signing and returning to the Embassy the “Receipt of Documents Slip” via email address (firstname.lastname@example.org)
